President, Claudia Wilson

Claudia is incredibly honoured and excited to serve as Carleton Political Science Society’s President for the 2018-2019 school year. She is a fourth-year Political Science major, with a minor in Communications and Media studies from Ajax, Ontario. During her tenure as the Director of Communications for CPSS in the 2017-2018 school year, Claudia knew that she needed to serve as President and take the society to new heights! In addition to her studies and extra-curricula’s, Claudia has worked on Parliament Hill for over a year. She is a fierce advocate for environmental sustainability, gender equality and LGBTQ2 rights. She can often be found in Starbucks, scrolling through Twitter or hanging out in the CPSS office. Don’t be afraid to say hello, ask about CPSS or any of our upcoming events!

Vice President, Vika Bereza

Vika is a fourth year Political Science major who, during the 2018-2019 school year will have the honour of serving as the Vice President of CPSS. Don’t be fooled – while you may not see her much on campus this next year because she will be doing back-to-back co-op terms, she is super excited to work with Claudia and the rest of the executive to bring new ideas to the table and ensure CPSS has its best year yet! Originally Vika hails from Whitby, Ontario, which most know only as a small commuter town on the way to Toronto. Last year Vika was a Director of Special Projects for the Carleton Political Science Society, and looks forward to bringing that experience and the lessons learned to her new role as VP. In a perfect world, Vika would already be an esteemed author of YA fiction novels, but in the meantime if you happen to catch her on campus feel free to say hello! She always loves meeting new people, especially of the Ravens variety. She will also be actively present on the CPSS social media and e-mail, so fear not, she will definitely be accessible to answer any questions you may have, as well as to keep you informed for an excited about all the great things that are heading your way in the 2018-2019 academic year!

Director of Communications, Matthew Gagne

Hey guys, I’m Matt Gagné, I’m a second year Poli Sci major from Moncton, New Brunswick. The reason why I joined CPSS Exec is because I missed out on a lot of chances to get involved in my High school and I did not want to make that mistake again. I had a great time last year helping set up CPSS talks and Model Parliament and look forward to be your director of communications! Fun fact about me? I’m too tall for roller coasters lol
